Help Name Arvada's Newest Trail
The City of Arvada Parks Department is building a new hard surface connector trail with parallel crusher fines path in west Arvada. The trail project will provide a major trail connection between the Ralston Creek Trail at Virgil Way on the north and the Van Bibber Creek Trail at Long Lake Ranch on the south.
The trail is being called Blunn Trail during construction. The crusher fines soft surface trail is just over a mile in length, the concrete hard surface trail is almost a mile and a half. The trail starts where Ralston Creek Trail goes under Virgil Way near West Woods Golf Course, heads south and parallels the Birds Nest Disc Golf Park, winds under West 64th Parkway, follows the east boundary of Long Lake Ranch to the Van Bibber Creek Trail near historic Churches Ranch. Besides the two trail surfaces the project includes retaining walls, landscaping and cross trail culverts.
The Arvada Park Advisory Committee is seeking suggestions for names for the trail from the public. The name can be descriptive of the geographic location or significant natural features in the area. Or it can relate to historic names or events of the area. Suggestions should include a short explanation of how the name relates geographically or historically.

Breck's Trail
My dog Breckenridge, my husband and I have been walking along that dirt trail ever since the first day we moved out there. Now that it is going in for real - we should name the trail after him... after all... it's been his "trail" for over a year. :) Thanks for your consideration!!

George and Anna Bromley memorial trail
My grandparents were the type of people that you want everybody to know; kind and generous a treasure for sure. The least I could do to honor their memory is to have a openspace trail named after them, the places they loved so much. thank you for your concideration. R Bromley Jr.
